I have an old Philips ToUCam that worked fime with macam until I upgraded my system to OSX 10.10.4. However, with a strange effect: it works fine wit ISPQ! With the macam.app I get only a still picture and Skype does not recognise my cam (not problems with that before, not with earlier version of 10.10). I just dowloaded the lastest version of the macam component, but no improvement. Restarting Skype or macam has no effect, not even rebooting my computer (with the cam plugged in). Any tips?Thanks!

Same here. MacMini (nov. 2014) installed with 10.9, updated to 10.10 (now 10.10.5). PS3 Playstation EyeUntil recently I was able to use it with Skype. Video and audio worked good.I used Skype 2.8, because the interface is less screen space consuming and I was able to chat with contact using recent version of Skype.Now, it doesn't work anymore (no audio or video). Then I tried last version of Skype (7.10) and only sound works fine.

I've tested some softwares:. Skype 2.8: in the preference pane, it founds video 'macam #0: Sony HD Eye for PS3 (SLEH 00201)' and audio 'USB Camera-B4.04.27.1'. But no communication possible with Skype after ver. 7.10.

Skype 7.10: it founds audio just like Skype 2.8 but no camera found. QuickTime Player 7: in preference pane, it founds video and audio. It's able to record video or record audio. But no audio+video recording. QuickTime Player 'Version 10.4 (833.7)': there is no preference pane. Sequence recording can find audio from PS3 Eye, but no video.It's sounds to me like new OSX system changed the way framework give access to webcam peripherals to software.
