Recommend Using Fluidapp For Mac
Secondly, it is recommended using Windows 7 for PC and OS X 10.5 Leopard for Mac when trying for Jio TV. Method 1: Installing Jio TV for PC with Blue Stacks emulator. In this first method, we have mentioned a few steps that must be followed if you want to use JioTV on your PC through the Blue Stacks emulator. First, download the Fluid app from the unsurprising URL fluidapp.com. It’s a free download, though there is a $5 upgrade option, which we’ll get to.
Have you ever found yourself in the situation where you have 4 different Salesforce orgs open, mixed into 20 different tabs in 3 different browser windows? You know that you have Client X’s Opportunity Page Layouts tab open somewhere but it takes more time to find it than it does to just open another tab for it. And down the rabbit hole we go. After lunch you come back to find 10 “Would you like to stay logged in” pop-up windows waiting for you. Wouldn’t it be nice to keep those different Salesforce Orgs separated in their own isolated environments? If you are a Mac user, I have found a great solution for you.
Fluid is an application that spins off isolated browser (Safari) environments that exist as their own separate application. This allows you to have “applications” for each of your Salesforce orgs. These applications can be launched through Spotlight or locked on your dock, allowing you to open your most commonly used Salesforce environments very quickly. Each application can even have its own icon.
With a simple graphics editing application and a little love, you can create distinct icons for each of your salesforce orgs to help you quickly identify which org is which. Here are some files to get you started creating your own Salesforce Fluid App icons.
Fluid is available for free, but $5 gets you these additional features.
Create Fluid Apps with Separate Cookie Storage.
This is big. When you are managing many Salesforce sandbox orgs for the same client and they live on the same server — cs9, na7, na15, etc. — it can be difficult to switch between environments because logging into one means logging out of an other. With the paid version, each Fluid App has its own set of cookies, so launching that sandbox org’s “application,” doesn’t mean you are logged out of another sandbox elsewhere.
Pin Fluid Apps to the Mac OS X Status Bar.
This puts an icon in the menu bar that, when clicked, opens a window into the application. This is a great feature if there is a main org you use all the time. I use this for our internal Salesforce org.
Use Userscripts or Userstyles in your Fluid Apps.
This is also huge. Each Fluid App can have its own set of scripts and styles, each assigned to a specific URL. I’ll get into some examples below.
Use Lion Full Screen mode in your Fluid Apps.
‘nough said.
If you plan on using Fluid, these features make it well worth the investment. If organizing your work life, being more productive and just general awesomeness is of interest to you, head on over to fluidapp.comand pickup a license.
Now that you’re invested, let’s put your money to work. Here are some examples of how I’ve setup some Fluid applications to make my life a whole lot easier.
Whitelist
Fluid is setup to isolate websites into their own application. It comes with a built in way to prevent other URLs from encroaching on your Fluid App and ruining your newly organized work environment. The Whitelist settings can be found in each Fluid App’s Preferences. URLs can be added to this list in either an exclusionary or an inclusionary manner. The “*” character can be used as a wildcard. For example, “*force.com*” will only allow access to websites that include “force.com” anywhere in their URL. I recommend adding “*force.com*” to your whitelist as it will give you access to all of the pages you need in your Salesforce org.
Userscripts
Each application can have a set of user scripts. These are snippets of javascript that are run when you visit a specific URL. Userscripts settings can be found in the Window menu. A very simple script will automatically log you in when you visit the Salesforce.com login page. (Note: Don’t save your login credentials in this way if you do not password protect your account on your computer.)
Another example might be a script that automatically populates test data values on a record creation page to rapidly create test records. Fluid also provides some neat API calls, allowing you to get creative with badges on the icon in your dock or adding menu items, when you right click the dock icon, that run a snippet of javascript to execute an action.
Userstyles
For me, it wasn’t enough to just assign each org its own application icon. When you’ve got three different Salesforce orgs open at once it helps to have them visually stand out from each other. Userstyles settings can also be found in the Window menu. Each sandbox has a black tag on the top right of the page that displays a label for that sandbox. With Userstyles you can add snippets of CSS to be applied to the page. Like Userscripts, these can be associated to a unique URL. To help me quickly identify which Salesforce org I’m working in, I added a custom style to that sandbox tag I mentioned earlier.
Clearly, we are looking at the dev01 sandbox here.
This is just scratching the surface of what you can do. Think big, think differently, get creative. Please leave a comment about how you have used, or plan to use, Fluid to make your work day more… fluid. I’m looking forward to hearing your suggestions.
Turn any website into a real Mac app with Fluid
Web applications like Gmail, Facebook, Campfire and Pandora are becoming more and more like desktop applications every day. Running each of these web apps in a separate tab in your browser can be a real pain.
Fluid lets you create a Real Mac App (or “Fluid App”) out of any website or web application, effectively turning your favorite web apps into OS X desktop apps.
Creating a Fluid App out of your favorite website is simple. Enter the website’s URL, provide a name, and optionally choose an icon. Click “Create”, and within seconds your chosen website has a permanent home on your Mac as a real Mac application that appears in your Dock.
Compatibility: macOS 10.12 or later 64-bit

- If downloaded file can not be extracted (file corrupted..), please make sure you have downloaded the file completely and don't use Winzip, it sucks! We would recommend using The Unarchiver.
