After you move all Sims from the left side to the right side, you'll get an option asking you if you want to sell the furniture from the left side's. You could ask the mother to move in and then when the move in menu appears just move in the child and leave the mother where she is. (Out of world or where ever.) This also works with teens etc. Just another in-game way to move kids and teens around without having to use manage households.

How to get boyrfirend/girlfriend to move in?I've got a couple going steady, and I want her to move in. But i cant find the option when i click on her (via 'him' being the selected sim).When I click 'Romantic.' There is a 'propose marriage' option, but i don;t want this yet. This problem is still very legit. It doesnt work for couples, it only works for friends (of any type).

However this doesnt really make any sense. Why would you move in with a new (basic level) friend before you move in with someone youre romantically involved with? This is the only mod that addresses the problem but it hasn't been updated in a while. Doubt it will work with patch 1.15 (4.3)Dude, this thread is over a year old. Move in does work for romantic couples, as others have said, the option for it always only appears under 'friendly' interactions. If it's not working for you then perhaps you have some kind of glitch.

  The option has not been moved or anything. However.. the only way *I* know to have someone move in, is to have that person be IN your house. You want someone to move in WITH YOU. Not the other way around. Or, do you want the Langeraks to have Fiona and River move in their house? If yes.. *you* must be playing with Fiona and River and have one of them GO TO the Langeraks and - if you're friendly enough with them - click on one of them and that option SHOULD BE under FRIENDLY.

  It used to be the case that I could find the option with a sufficiently high relationship even not on the home lot. Further, that option used to allow the player to move sims in either direction and select which household would be playable.
  I had Iliana Langerak invite Fiona's household over to the Langerak household, only Fiona showed up. When I clicked on Fiona with Iliana, the closest option on the 'Friendly' sub-menu was 'Ask to be room mates' (which is a 'University Life' interaction). They are best friends via the relationship transmogrifier. It would seem something is amiss.

  Well this IS weird! 'Course, I never ever did the 'Ask To Move In' option. Let me try it and I'll get back to you, ok? If it's NOT possible while your sim is at Uni, it *should be* at least possible once your sim gets back home.

  These sims didn't go to university. I have been playing with the Langerak household in Sunset Valley. I was forced to use a cheat to bring Fiona and River McIrish into the Langerak household. The 'ask to move in' option has either been eliminated or moved. If it has been moved, then it would be nice to know how to access it.

  the option to move in is under friendly, if your sim is friends or good friends, best friends you can ask them to move in, I found this works better if both are sitting down on a couch together seems to be there more often, but I found if your romantic with a sim I don't see this as an option.
