Google drive shows 17 GB (97%) used, but I only have a single 2 mb PDF in the folder. Looking to use drive for file sharing with my class but am unsure if this is possible. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thanks for your help! EDIT: Looks like in google drive itself it incorrectly shows that I am using most of my space. Clear space in Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos to make room for new items. Delete files by size in Google Drive. Use a computer to see your files listed from largest to smallest. Put files you don't want in your Trash, then permanently delete them.

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere but I wasn't sure how to search for this. Not even sure if the title makes sense.Basically my c drive is a 148GB drive. When going to Computer the C drive shows that I only have 20GB free and 128GB used. But if I open the C drive, select all the contents and click on properties, it says the combined amount or size on disk is only 68.3GB.Heres a link to a screen shot: if the properties window is correct and Im only using 68GB then I should have an additional 80GB free.Ive run disk clean, emptied the trash, ran ccleaner and my system defrags once a week.Any ideas whats going on here? Thanks! ClintPlease post a copy of a chkdsk report on your C partition select Start, Run, type 'cmd' without quotes in the box and press the ENTER key. Type chkdsk and press the ENTER key and a report, detailing amongst other things a summary of how the disk spaceis utilised, is provided. If you want a report on a partition or drive other than C you need to go to that partition. To access F, where F is the required partition you type F: and press the ENTER key.Copying reports from a command prompt can be tricky.

Right click and select Mark. This enables you to highlight selected text and click to copy. You then go to an open Word, Notepad or similar file, right click and paste. The selected text transfersfrom your clipboard to the open file. You can paste directly into a reply message to most forums. In Windows 7 you may need to use an Elevated Command Prompt; To investigate disk space usage download and install Treesize (freeware).Information on TreesizeWhen you open Treesize select Scan from the Menu and you will see a list of drives. Click on C and it will generate a list of Folders. Post the names and the sizes of the 6 largest folders and the total at the top of the list.Typically certain backup software hides folders and folder.

Norton started the practice but others have foolowed their lead. If you have any software which enables you to recover accidentally deleted files you could be looking in the right direction.Another folder which is not in your list is the System Volume Information folder.

Treesize will reveal it to you! Gerry Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, England Enquire Plan Execute. Sorry if this has been answered somewhere but I wasn't sure how to search for this. Hornet eq.

Simple and easy. You don't have to download 3rd party utilities and jump through hoops to do that unless you just want to make something complicated out of what's really simple and straightforward. Noneed to make the solution more complicated than the problem.Good luck. Skil twist xtra cordless screwdriver battery charger.
