Insert Picture Backround For Mac

The answer for my case was that 'Insert Picture from File' does not seem to be available for DOC format files, but becomes available when the file is saved as DOCX format.
In PowerPoint 2019 for Mac or PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 for Mac, you can add visual interest to presentations with animated backgrounds for your slides.
To get started creating an animated background, simply add a still image as your slide background, and then on the Picture Format tab, select Animate as Background.
Add motion to a still slide background image
Select the slide you want to add an animated background to, then go to Insert > Pictures, and choose either Photo Browser or Photo from File.
Select the picture you want, and then select Insert. You may need to resize the picture to fill up the slide.
On the Picture Format tab, on the far right end, select Animate as Background.
A dialog will open with a preview of your background picture.
Click on the parts of the picture you want to have the movement of your animated background focused on. When you're done selecting points of interest, click Apply.
To see your animations in action, view the slide in Slide Show mode.
To edit your animations, select the background picture and select Animate as Background again, and repeat step 4.
You can add text and other content to the slides over your background images, and they'll remain in place while the background moves behind them.
Note: While you can only create animated backgrounds in PowerPoint for macOS, they'll be able to play in other versions of PowerPoint.
The latest Flip Video Camcorders recorded with MP4 format are supposed to work with Mac software like iMovie, QuickTime, iTunes. 
However, for older Flip Video Cam, which might record video in AVI, MOV, or WMV format, you would have difficulty in importing Flip Videos to iMovie, or FCP.
Requirements
Animate as Background is only available if you have PowerPoint 2019 for Mac or PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 for Mac.

If your business needs to combine one image with another, you can insert a cropped image into another photo on your Mac. For example, you may have a photo of several new product boxes and you want to crop out one product box and paste it into a photo that shows people using the product. All new Macs come with Apple’s free Preview application already installed, which you can use to open and edit images.
1.Right-click the image file that you want to crop on your Mac, click “Open With” from the pop-up menu and then click “Preview” to open the photo in Apple’s native image editing application.
2.Click “Tools” from the Preview application menu and then click “Select Tool.” The cursor becomes a crosshair.
3.Drag the cursor to select the area that you want to crop. Click “Edit” from the menu and then click “Copy” to copy the cropped image onto the Mac’s clipboard.
4.Click “File” from the Preview application menu, then “Open,” then navigate to the photo into which you want to insert the cropped image and then click “Open.”
5.Click “Edit” from the Preview menu and then click “Paste.” The cropped image pastes from the clipboard into the second photo and the cursor becomes a hand. Click the cropped image and then drag it to the location where you want to place it in the second image. Click anywhere in the image to lock the cropped image into place.
6.Click “File” from the menu and then click “Save” to save your changes.
